Actress Jennifer Beals at the GLAAD Awards in 2009
Looks like Jennifer Beals (The Bride, The Book of Eli, Flashdance) is set as the female lead in Taken, the NBC prequel to the Taken film franchise. Beals will co-star opposite Clive Standen in the role of Christina Hart the special deputy director of National Intelligence.
House Of Cards’ Mahershala Ali has joined the cast in director Ted Melfi’s Hidden Figures, the story of former NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson. Ali’s role? Love interest of main character, Johnson, played by Taraji Henson.
Also confirmed is Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters fame (also set to appear in the “controversial” remake) as Sgt. Ed Conrad in the pilot for Fox detective show APB.
