Director: Takashi Shimizu
This had a sorta arthouse feel that I was not expecting- at all. Not in an annoying way, either. Just really well written storytelling with an appealing visual simplicity. So different from the remake; captivating.

Son of Ingagi was the first all-Black cast horror movie ever known to be made. The screenplay was written by Spencer Williams who also acted in the film along with Zack Williams and Laura Bowman. The script was based on a short story Williams wrote called “House of Horror.”
Williams was a pioneer African-American film producer and director. Later he gained fame playing Andy in the “Amos ‘n Andy” television show.
