I don’t know, I feel like they will overplay the lesbianism in Xena to compensate for all this ruckus that has been going on with lesbian characters getting killed. I don’t want a pity party show, I want a GOOD STORY, with WELL-WRITTEN CHARACTERS, and if they happen to be gay, then ALRIGHT, BONUSSSSS. I hope that is how this turns out to be.

It’s interesting you say that. It’s also misleading for articles to say Gabrielle and Xena were lesbians, because they both had legit male partners as well. The most interesting thing about the show’s handling of romantic relationships was that sexuality was more fluid than just “gay or straight.” I agree though. I’ll be disappointed if the show treats sexual orientation as a “thing” now. – Erica
